Biography
Music · Castanets · Dance
Marina Razumovskaja is an internationally active musician, composer, castanet player, and dancer. Her artistic work combines rhythm, movement, and sound into a unique stage form in which the castanets take center stage as a concert instrument.
She has performed on numerous prestigious stages both in Austria and abroad, including the Salzburg Festival Hall, the Salzburg State Theatre, the Erl Festival Hall, the Millstatt Festival, the José Peón Contreras Theatre in Mexico, the University of Redlands in the USA, and many others. Her performances range from solo concerts to interdisciplinary productions with ensembles and orchestras.
As a musician and composer, she creates her own music for theater, film, dance, and choirs. Her compositions are atmospheric, narrative, and spatially oriented. They are performed live on stage, as radio plays, or as sheet music for publications. Marina plays her music on piano, voice, and other instruments, creating multi-layered soundscapes that support scenes and evoke inner imagery.
In addition to her stage work, she gives music and movement workshops for young and old and teaches dance and piano to pass on her knowledge and experience.
